Crete is accessible by airplane and ferryboat.

If you choose to travel by plane, there are two international airports on the island, which offer scheduled flights and daily charters, year round.

The two airports are located at Heraklion and Chania (Daskalojannis Airport). Most of the scheduled flights from these two airports are destined for Athens' Eleftherios Venizelos Airport.

Scheduled ferryboat destinations are to the island's four largest harbours, at Heraklion, Chania, Rethymnon, Agios Nikolaos. Ferryboats operate daily, year round.
